Travel in Style

I have been slacking exceptionally hard in blogging about my outfits, and I have quite a bit to catch up on! But I wanted to start with traveling in style.

When I use to have to get on a plane or take a long road trip, you better believe I wasn’t coming out of my sweat pants and messy bun just to look cute in front of a bunch of strangers. But as I have gotten older, I have come to the conclusion that first impressions are extremely important, especially in a crowd of strangers.

Trust me, when I get home from work the bra comes off, the yoga pants go on, and the wine bottle is uncorked. However, when I am out and about in a place like an airport, where you never know who you may bump into, I want to look my best! No not like business professional, I want to dress like me.way out west

I’ve been to Arizona twice this month. One time I drove and the other time I flew. When I drove out there, I wore something so simple, so comfortable, but cute enough to pull over on the side of the road and snag a few pics. My go-to outfit typically consists of denim on denim + a cute graphic tee underneath + (what I refer to as) Jesus sandals. For super cute graphic tees ya’ll NEED to check out @ranch_reflections and @the.turquoise.buffalo on Instagram!way out west

For my flight, I wore shorts, another super cute graphic tee from @the.turquoise.buffalo (pictured), and some comfortable booties with my favorite thrift shop steal of a jacket. I am beyond glad I decided not to scrub that day. We ended up being stuck in the airport for ten, yes ten, hours. I was beyond wore out and upset, but at least I had on a cute outfit, which always makes things better.

I am all about being comfortable, I am just happy I became aware of the concept of first impression and what they can mean. What if I would have ran into someone who is looking to hire a fashion blogger? Or an editor of a magazine? Or Ryan Bingham? You just never know, okay guys? But in all seriousness, I have also come to the realization that when I dress better, I feel better. It gives me confidence to look in the mirror and love my outfit. Maybe my style isn’t everyone else’s taste, but it’s mine and I love wearing what I feel.

It’s easy to get caught up in looking casual or not dressing up because you’re worried what other’s might think of your style, but give them something to talk about. You deserve to look and feel your best at all times, gorgeous.
